Yesterday we ran a story about the fact that the world’s most expensive domain name, sex.com, was going to auction today.
Well it looks like those plans have been firmly halted in yet another twist to this domain name saga.
According to a story over on Domain Name Wire, three people have file an ‘involuntary bankruptcy petition’ in a US Bankruptcy Court in California, against the owner of the domain Sex.com.
The three parties are claiming that the company backing the sale is up to £10m in debt to them. The amounts claimed in the petition are:
Washington Technology Associates who are claiming $6,607,803.66
iEntertainment, Inc. claiming $3,476,515.02
AccountingMatters.com, LLC $7,800.00
The total claims amount to: $10,092,118.68
So it looks like the auction is postponed!
